more NYC!

Totally jet lagged- chillin on the street of NYC with a suitcase - totally look like a tourist! randy pulled up and we went to his place a then went to this yummy thai place! - tofu! After we picked up Jenn and Todd from the JFK airport and back to randy's the rest is kinda a blurr so it'll just be tid bits and pictures!

friday- subway lots of traveling around - times square - Jenn and Todd- MoMA Bubba Gumps - (Peiking Duck- Favorite Meal! located in china town followed by espresso gelatti in little italy!with dagmar) Yummy! subway home - snack attack - junk food and playing pinnochle back at randy's. Jenn and todd totally killed me and Randy but thats a given!favorite snack - sour patch kids - water melon - texting and loud beds while trying to fall asleep come standard!

saturday:I saw the new off broadway show "In the Heights" and got to go back stage and got a personal tour with the soulful sound guy John Senter."In the Heights" is considered to be the new "Rent" with the perfect combination of the dreams of "West Side story" with the reality of Eminem style rap. I am so lucky to have been able to have such an amazing experience and even being able to get a ticket to the show such late notice! thank you so much John Senter!
Dean and Deluca - got some chocolate for mom, dad and patty! yummy! Met up with Jenn and Todd in Times Square and around 5th ave.

Sunday: Jenn and Todd went to the Manhattan 1st Ward, while Randy and I took the senic rout to the flat iron building. It was raining so i'm super glad that the boys were prepaired with umbrellas! Apple store! totally awesome! Glass Cube on 5th ave right accross from the plaza! (Macca) Mac + looks like Mecca = Macca

Dangerfields' -comedy club- some things were a little crude but it was totally hillarious- they had the best chicken fingers and i noticed that i craved junk food with i was listening to some of the jokes... salty junk food goes perfectly with crude comedy. subway back to polish town to Randy's place - snack attack and more pinnochle and talks about kid raising and decision making - I was a captive audience

Monday I got to sleep in while Jenn, Todd and Randy went to breakfast, It was great! St. Patricks day parade with lots of army boys! Sex and the City Character Charlotte's address is 700 Park ave so jenn and I were charlotte for a moment! Walked on the edge of central park marching to the bagpipes! love bagpipes! Gugenheim- Arrowed carrs - under reconstruction. Sushi place boat house - different types of sushi come round to your table to get a variety of dissert and suchi through our the meal! Whyoming - restaurant really good too. time to go to dagmar's car! Traffic Jam in the city is the most claustrophobic I have ever felt! with the buildings and the cars and all the people pushing their way through to make it through as fast as possible; i had a little bit of a pannic attack! Being straped for time and having no control of the situation = panick attack for amber!

New York- took wrong bus, but go a personal tour of the Bronx! - Funny Driver! To the Subway- back and forth up and down town till asked a nice lady to get to 23rd street - thank you! Flat Iron Building park I knew i was in the right area but not the address finally - thankful for signature on Randy's Emails- w/full address! Caffe with stranger - evan which ended up feeling like a date but later found out that he was married. Walked around union square and went to the sex museum- totally hillarious gift shop. Jet laged-slept on couch in office randy called walked through stores more - deisel- feels like a club- awesome DJ! and then at the W hotel I saw Wanda Sparks getting into her car! I would have taken a picture but I would have felt like a poparazzi!

I want to, I can, I will!


Last minute I boughtr a round trip ticket to New York City! I had time off, Jenn and Todd were already going and Uncle Randy was expecting guests, so i surfed online and started dreaming about my weekend adventure to New York City!

I was so excited the day had finally come! Hesitant to travel such a distance at first I found comfort and inspiration from my Mom and good friends. I had the ticket, I was packed and my comfort zone was not going to stop me!

12:30 - Red Eye on Delta to Atlanta - great airport. Lots of signs and super simple to get around. Southern Hospitality radiates from this city airport. (bag in overhead by gentelmen was standard, as well as the individual TV's. Atlanta - New York full row my own - sleepy time!)
